Four pillars, one front door

Every program MAOF runs, grouped the way families look for help

The current site lists 24 program pages across three menus plus a partnerships menu. The redesign keeps every program and gives each one the same structured page: who it is for, eligibility in plain words, locations, and one inquiry button.

MAOF has 27 child care centers across Los Angeles, Orange, Kern, Ventura, San Diego and San Bernardino counties, plus seven Early Care Centers in Monterey County. In the redesign every location is a record with its county, programs, hours and map, so the finder, the program pages and this list all stay in sync.

  • MAOF Headquarters · 401 N. Garfield Avenue, Montebello, CA 90640 · (323) 890-9600
  • Commerce office · 5100 S. Eastern Ave., 2nd floor, Suite 200, Commerce, CA 90040

The careers section is the biggest part of the current site: 72 job posting pages in the sitemap on November 7, 2026, most of them teacher and teacher-assistant roles at named centers. The redesign turns each posting into a Job record with county, center and program filters, and tracks application starts and completions.

About MAOF

A multi-generational approach to uplift the whole family

MAOF provides social services for infants through seniors across four pillars: early child education services, senior services, community development services, and community partnership services. Since its founding in 1963 in Los Angeles it has grown into one of the largest nonprofits in California, with an operating budget of over $100 million a year.

For the MAOF evaluation committee: the three panels below are the migration map, the analytics and KPI framework, and the staff editing model. They answer RFP sections 4, 6, 8 and 10 on screen.

126 URLs today on Webflow, mapped one by one to WordPress

We fetched maof.org and its sitemap.xml. The site is served by Webflow (webflow.shared CSS, webflow.schunk scripts, assets on cdn.prod.website-files.com) with a Google Translate widget for Spanish, a HubSpot form and Microsoft Forms links. Counts below are from that crawl; the decisions are our proposal and MAOF approves every one.

Privacy rules for an audience of children, families and older adults

  • Consent banner before any analytics cookie (CCPA/CPRA and Google consent mode); page views only until consent.
  • No personal data in any event, URL or parameter; form field values are never sent to analytics.
  • GA4 does not log or store IP addresses; Google Signals and ads personalization stay off; data retention set to 14 months.
  • No remarketing or cross-site tracking on any page, and no event beyond page view on pages aimed at children.
  • Dashboard access by named MAOF accounts only; raw data stays in MAOF's own Google property.

How MAOF staff edit this in WordPress

Fill in fields, not pages

Six structured content types replace Webflow's collections. An editor adds a Program or a Job record; the finder, the pillar cards, the county filters, the sitemap and the Spanish version all update themselves. No page builder, no developer.

  • Revision history on every record with one-click restore
  • Scheduled publish and expiry for jobs and events
  • Locked design system: staff cannot change colors, type or layout
  • Staging site for training and previews; daily backups

Accessibility · WCAG 2.1 AA (built to 2.2 where it costs nothing)

  • Skip link, landmarks, heading outline, descriptive links
  • Contrast at least 4.5:1 for text, 3:1 for controls; checked on this page
  • Visible focus on every control; 44-pixel targets; keyboard-only finder
  • Live regions announce finder results and location lists
  • Text size and high-contrast controls (bottom right) that work
  • Reduced-motion respected; no autoplay, no carousels
  • Spanish content in lang="es" so screen readers switch voice
  • Launch deliverable: written conformance report and public accessibility statement
